WE THE MAKERS Sustainable Fashion Prize 2023

We the Makers is a major biennial event at the National Wool Museum Geelong, centred around the sustainable fashion prize.

Winner of the AMaGA Victoria, 2024 Museums and Galleries Awards,
Medium Project of the Year (Museum).

Entries from emerging professional designers working in sustainable fashion from anywhere in the world are submitted and displayed. Sustainable holistic fashion and ethical practice, design ingenuity, material consciousness and business innovation are highlighted.. Every two years themes from the world of sustainable fibre and textiles through the next generation of fashion designers are showcased.

The National Wool Museum is aligned with Geelong’s designation as a UNESCO City of Design, and dedicated to championing the past, present and future of fashion with recognition to Geelong’s ongoing role in the wool and textile industries.
